In-Person Classes Postponed – Live Lectures Tentatively Resume Saturday, April 4, 2020
University Remains Open for Business
Florida Atlantic University continues to closely monitor the evolving coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak. The health and safety of students, faculty and staff is the highest priority and FAU officials are working closely with local, state and federal agencies to share the most updated information.
No cases of coronavirus have been reported at FAU. However, the State University System of Florida Board of Governors today directed state universities to take several steps to minimize the health and safety risks of respective communities.

Latest Updates Regarding the School of Accounting Executive Programs
- There will be no in-person lectures held for students at the Fort Lauderdale Higher Education Complex. Please do not come to any FAU campus for in-person classes or lectures until further notice. The tentative date to restart SOAEP in-person lectures is Saturday, April 4, 2020. If that date changes, we will let you all know.
- SOAEP Professors have four (4) options to deliver your course lectures to you during this time:
- Fully online using Canvas technologies without video lectures
- Online using Canvas technologies and past lectures
- Online using Canvas technologies and currently pre-recorded lectures
- Online using Canvas technologies plus live online lectures from a webcam
- The SOAEP will remain open until further notice; all faculty and staff will report for work as normal. If you need assistance with courses, or support with video lectures and labs – please follow the same protocol as usual to get support.
