SOAEP Students and Faculty:

The 2019 St. Patrick’s Day Parade and Festivities are taking place all day this coming Saturday, March 16, 2019 in the Downtown Fort Lauderdale area.  We expect lots of traffic issues, and perhaps parking issues as well.  Please continue reading for important information on getting to the HEC building on 3/16/19.

TRAFFIC: Las Olas Boulevard will be closed for the day.  We recommend using Broward Boulevard to avoid traffic as you make your way to the building.  Please see the map below and use the purple arrows to find the “FAU/BCC LOT”.  Roads marked in red or covered with green dots will be blocked on 3/16/19.

PARKING:

In the event that the normal, ground floor parking lot fills up or you are unable to access it (FAU/BCC LOT” on map), we advise you to park in the “City Park Garage” just north of the FAU/BCC lot.  It is also marked on the map.

Be advised: You will need to obtain a parking pass from Jeff Knox on the 10th floor of the HEC Building in order to park in the City Parking Lot for free.

You will need to park your car on the 7th floor only of the City Parking Garage. It is the top floor.  You will then need to go up to the 10th floor of the HEC Building (1008L) and see Jeff for your parking pass then walk back up to your car to place the pass on your dashboard.  You will not be reimbursed from FAU if you decide to pay for parking in this lot with your own money.  To avoid charges for parking, please see Jeff for a pass.  Please note that these temporary parking passes for the City Parking Garage are only good until May 3, 2019, and only one parking pass will be issued per student.

If you have any questions or concerns about parking or traffic on 3/16/19, please contact us at: 954-762-5115 or techsupport@schoolofaccounting.com

Thank you.
